I'll drop it into water just to watch it float,
and make it's way across seas like a tiny boat,
that has it's heart set on a course,
but hits the ice and begins to submerse,

As it plumits down beneath the blue,
It breaks it's mass and loses crew,
The captain stays onboard for the very end,
And bellows "'til death do us part, my friend".

"This floating light,
in this darkened night,
fills up the sky,
and the sun dies,

This shallow grave,
for this rotting brain,
shall not remain,
from where it came."

I must admit you've made a mark on me,
you broke me down to act differently,
my confidence and morale are shot,
heart, body, blood and mind all lost.

This rose's thorns are sharp,
But i'll grab and squeeze, just for the thrill, just for the thrill,
This day is nicer than an Summer's day in Ireland,
Maybe the rains have blown away?,
But winds have dropped and killed the fisherman sail?,

Hear the cries from the forest after the hunter has drawn his rifle,
Killing animal after animal, just for the thrill, just for the thrill,
His memory couldn't be more forsaken than his cold heart,

Did he not have time to warm his veins?

And pump the blood through his hollow space?

It used to be me and you and you and me joined at the bones,
Now i feel you slipping, leaving me on my own,
Sporting all my scars and injuries from battle,
I've lost the only thing the king sent me for,

Unravelling the string from around my wrist, i can only see your back,
Walking into streams of memory loss and pools of seperation,
And as the water falls down you neck, on to your back and home to it's pack,
I hope i never forget you.
